Various charitable organizations accept cryptocurrency donations today. Despite this initial success, there’s always room to keep the list growing.
The latest organization to be added to the list is WaterAid America.
Another Charity Accepts Bitcoin Donations
It too now accepts crypto donations through The Giving Block.
Among the supported currencies are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, ZCash, and Gemini’s GUSD.
All of these options can be used to bring clean water to communities in need of this basic human right.
Even today, there are still 785 million people who do not have access to clean water.
Making matters worse is how 2.3 billion people don’t have access to a decent toilet either.
In this modern day and age, that should be completely unacceptable, yet little is being done about it.
Without charitable organizations such as WaterAid America, this situation wouldn’t change at all.
WaterAid was founded in 1981 and helped bring clean water to 26.4 million individuals ever since.
With the support from the cryptocurrency community, even bigger progress can be made in the weeks, months, and years to come.
It is good to see more organizations venture into the cryptocurrency space to reach a bigger audience.
Similar to traditional money, Bitcoin and select altcoins can effectively make a difference.
